My work explores the effects of new media in the human perception of reality and in interaction with space and sound. I am interested in developing interactive experiences that lead the immersants to question what is the role of quotidian mediums and devices –such as mobile phones, augmented reality and social media– and what are their effects in the understanding of the world we inhabit. My artwork involves experimentation with video, imagery and sound, 3D modeling, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and different techniques of generative art.
As an artist, and also as an educator, I am an advocate for technology and art to be accessible for everyone, no matter language or cultural background. I mostly use Free, Libre, Open-Source Software (FLOSS) to develop my work and document it in open and accessible repositories.
